Nose: Apple, allspice, floral/hay/rye grain, tons of honey, mint, musty oak, ginger, lemon peel, coconut cream, tobacco, vanilla.

Taste: Buttery/silky mouthfeel. Rich honey, fresh lemon, fennel, clove, burnt rye bread, leather, apricot, pineapple, brown sugar, candied caramel, fig, sweet vanilla.

Finish: Long length. Fresh cut apple slices covered in brown sugar and cinnamon glaze, with a fresh punch of honey, followed up by the savory notes of leather, sweet tobacco, and vanilla. Then into a delicious tropical medley of pineapple, apricot, with a hint of burnt rye bread and bold musty oak at the end.

Overall: This. Rye. Is. Delicious. It has it all! Sweet tropical fruit, slight punches of rye grain, mint, and bold earthiness, spice covered apples – how can you go wrong here?!?

The finish on this rye is quite a rollercoaster, but it matches the palate so well. It’s layers of varying flavors, but it all works so well together.

BCS sourced ryes ranging from 4 to 14 years old and blended them together, all hailing from different parts of the globe. We get some from Indiana, Tennessee, Canada, and Poland! This concoction of rye whiskies is beautifully blended together with such nuance that I can’t help but recommend it to anyone and everyone. Even if you’re not a rye whiskey fan – you would enjoy this. The honey note alone is enough to keep me in, but the well aged oak notes and sweet baking notes with those funky tropical hints in the mix, it is top notch!
